Student Cover Compared explains the insurance rules that international students meet when they study abroad. The guides cover what visas and universities require and what the main kinds of cover do.

We are not an insurer, a broker or a financial adviser. We do not sell policies, take commissions, give quotes or recommend individual insurers. Nothing on this site is advice for your situation.

How the guides are written

Each guide is based on official government and university sources, which we check when the guide is written and again when it is reviewed. Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Where rules depend on your nationality, course or university, we say so instead of guessing.

Comparing universities

For the universities themselves, we link to Universities DB, which lists universities by country and city.
